Roero Arneis DOCG ‘Costa delle Rose

Ca' du Russ is located in Castellinaldo d'Alba, in the heart of Roero wine region.

The winery is part of the LIBERA NATURA project and the wines are certified according to the scheme procedural guideline.

Arneis has a long and proud lineage in its native Piedmont. It's a tricky grape to grow but it produces a very distinctive wine, one with unusual fruit, good acidity and a rich mineral layer. This example is even more unusual, a single-vineyard - Costa delle Rose" offering carefully selected bunches.

Pale in colour, with greenish tinges, the palate is full bodied with aromas of pear and apricot, yet soft and fresh, backed by a suggestion of crusty bread and finishing with a pleasingly bitter snap.

Excellent as an aperitif wine, it sits well with light dishes and has enough body to be paired with white meats, seafood and most fish dishes.

Try it with spring vegetables risotto and vitello tonnato, a recipe from the native Piemonte
