Located 45 kilometers from the pacific caost, Colchagua Valley has a warm climate moderated by the two mountain ranges that extend from North to South along the valley. Well drained granitic and volcanic soils with clay loam texture and semi-arid Mediterranean climate which are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère. New world wine with an old world essence, using centenary wines from the property in Apalta.
CS vines brought from France in 1889 (pre-phylloxera). 1936 Carmenère vines took root. Area became more and more expressive of terroir- capturing the “spirit” of Apalta (Neyen means spirit).
