Lapostolle Cuve Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon

Colchagua Valley

Lapostolle wines was founded by Alexandra Mariner Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bourmet in 1994. Alexandra is a member of the renowned family that has been dedicated for several generations to the production of high quality spirits and wines (Grand Marnier). The company owns 370 hectares in three different vineyards (Casablanca, Cahapoal and Colchagua) and produces a total of 200,000 cases annually. The wines are distributed in more than 60 countries worldwide. Combination of French experience and great terroirs of Chile.

The Apalta valley is lodged between the Tinguiririca river and the Coastal Cordillera ending in a “horsehoe” shape. The natural barrier delays the arrival of the sun in the morning and reduces exposure to sunlight in the evening, thereby escaping excess heat of a hot climate. There is also plenty of underground water which provides sufficient supply during the growing season.

6 storey building very modern spiral staircase (and beautiful tasting “cave” with 6000 bottles of owners personal collection). There is a Relais et Chateaux on site with 4 rooms only.

Dark ruby colour. More oaky, cigar, leather notes, cherry, chocolate. Medium acid, medium body, tannins are medium and soft. Medium+ finish
