This wine is coming from Côtes de Beaune with 80% of the grapes coming from Meursault and 20% coming from Pommard. Pierre Girardin is the 13th generation and besides his young age (24 years old),his second vintage 2018 is a fantastic wine. As the label of his bottle: Eclast de calacaire, the vines have been growing on limstone soil. He is doing organic viticulture yet to be certified. His wines have been aged in 30% new oak, gentle oak aromas, the rest in second hand big barrels and stainless steel tanks. His first vintage was a total "blast" and eyes were on him for his second one. Definitly somone to watch.
Tasting notes: consistant, mineral, citrus, flinty, smoky, river rocks, lie zest.... can keep!
