•Soils: Marine Sedimentary - Pommard
•Winemaking 2018 provided ideal conditions for this cool, coastal foothill vineyard. Due to low annual rainfall and dry farming, the resulting wines show great depth of color, texture and flavor.
•Picked October 1st, separating Pommard and Wadensil clones into five distinct fermentation lots: four small open-top fermenters (one 100% whole cluster and three destemmed) where the juice was moved around the skins to extract the beautiful, red fruit and silky textures that make this vineyard so unique; one terracotta amphora filled with 100% whole cluster, sealed, and left untouched for 15 days. The wines were aged for 10 months in neutral oak barrels, then racked to tank. Bottled unfined and unfiltered
