Anna Chilton and Sustainability

Sustainable economy with Anna Chilton, sustainability manager at Camelia and wine expert.

Anna Chilton has worked in the wine and beverage sectors for over 15 years in a few countries and spanning the public and private sector, focusing on ‘green’ production and what has become popularly known as sustainability.

What does sustainable wine mean? Is it organic, is it biodynamic and is it even possible to make wine 'sustainably’?

In this session, we will discuss what it means to make, distribute and drink wine with the environment and community in mind. We will discuss the biggest topics in wine which touch on sustainability today and how these will shape the future of wine.

Finishing off with some stories and wine from a South African winery which survived one of the worst and most documented droughts in history.

We will discuss our responsabitilty and taste South African wines.
